Introduction

What up yall,

My name is Jarred Garcia. I'm a senior and a com arts major (radio, tv, and film). I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I love the city I'm from but Madison is cool too. I enjoy sports, movies, poetry, and all things hip-hop.

I am taking this class to gain a better understanding of the internet from an academic perspective. I think the internet is becoming a crucial tool to navigate and understand current events, as well as connecting people, places, and cultures, that might not otherwise do so. It's an open environment for knowledge and the possibilities are nearly endless.

Max Reisbaum Introduction

Hey yall,

My name is Max Reisbaum and I am a Junior majoring in Communication Arts: Radio, Television, and Film. I am from Los Angeles, California and saw snow fall for the first time my Freshman year at Wisconsin. I am also a total Internet junkie!

I am taking Critical Internet Studies in order to satisfy my desire to learn the history of the Internet and build a better understanding of how the Internet works. I strongly believe that our future is dependent on further development of the Internet, and without a strong knowledge of how the Internet works, one could be left behind in the technologically advanced future.

I am very excited for this course!!!
