Hey what's up everyone getting a little of a late start on this whole introduction post but after serval attempts at trying to be able to post on this blog I finally figured it out. better late than never right? Anyways I'm Ben, a sophomore from Westchester, New York, just 20 minutes north of the city. Right now I'm a Com Arts major on the film with the plan in double majoring in Econ as well. I'm really excited to be in this class. Using the internet and being on social media sites consumes the majority of my day to day life. There's a lot I feel I can learn from this class because as much as I am online, I realize I don't really understand much about it at all. See you guys in class!

Max Reisbaum Introduction
Hey yall,
My name is Max Reisbaum and I am a Junior majoring in Communication Arts: Radio, Television, and Film. I am from Los Angeles, California and saw snow fall for the first time my Freshman year at Wisconsin. I am also a total Internet junkie!

I am taking Critical Internet Studies in order to satisfy my desire to learn the history of the Internet and build a better understanding of how the Internet works. I strongly believe that our future is dependent on further development of the Internet, and without a strong knowledge of how the Internet works, one could be left behind in the technologically advanced future.
I am very excited for this course!!!

Introduction: Cyrus Heffernan

Hey, my name is Cyrus Heffernan, and I'm a senior at UW majoring in International Studies and History. I'm from Madison, and currently work making fine gourmet cuisine at Subway. Yep, I'm a sandwich artist. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this class because I love exploring the internet; learning more about it should be a fascinating experience. I look forward to working with all of you and making this a fun semester!
Introduction: Bill Melcher
Hey, I'm Bill Melcher. I'm a senior majoring in Comm. Arts and Political Science and will graduate in December. In my free time, I like to golf, ski, and play the occasional hand of blackjack.
When I saw this class, I was instantly intrigued. The Internet has risen as a medium that is as important, if not more than, television. I'm interested to begin to look at the Internet in a more critical fashion and see where it may be headed in the next 10-20 years.

Introduction
Hi my name is Andrew Brodsky and I'm from Miami, Florida. I am a junior here at UW-Madison and Political Science major. I plan going to law school after I graduate.
I really look forward to taking this course. The internet is something we all using multiple times a day, and its one of the best tools we have. I'm eager to learn more about the internet, and how we use it daily. I think that the internet will become increasingly important to our lives in the future, so its very important that we know how to use it.

Introduction: Sammy Luterbach

Hi everyone! My name is Sammy Luterbach, and I am a senior here at UW-Madison. I transferred here my sophomore year from a tiny college in Milwaukee and began by majoring in Textile and Apparel Design. When I started writing for a fashion blog called CollegeFashionista, I realized that my heart wasn’t in fashion design, but instead in fashion journalism, blogging, and social media.
My major is now Communication Arts- Radio, TV, and Film. I’m still writing for CollegeFashionista and am also a social media intern for them this semester. I am really looking forward to this class and to my Costume and Film class. All of my favorite worlds are colliding this semester!
Introduction by Ho Jung Lee
Hi everyone! My name is Ho Jung but I prefer being called Monica. I am currently a junior majoring in International Studies, and hoping to double major in Communication Arts.I'm from South Korea, but I spent my highschool years in Seattle and my middle school years in Canada. I am very excited for this class since internet has always been my biggest interest. I had to miss the first discussion because I was in Korea, but I am excited to see all of you!
I have always been eager to explore the modern social network that internet has created. Since I am studying about globalization and cultures, my area of interest for this class is to observe how social interaction is done across borders in internet. I am especially curious about the social networking sites such as facebook and twitter, and the social phenomenon they have created today.

Intro
Hey everybody. My name is Nick Patri. I'm a junior majoring in Journalism and Communication Arts. I've started taking classes for the Certificate in Business as well, but we'll see how that goes. I recently switched to the strategic communication side of the J-school because I realized I don't like reporting, and I hope to work in advertising someday.
The picture here is a screen grab from that ESPN documentary about Russell Wilson from last football season. I work for the Athletic Department doing audio stuff and I happened to be in the background when they were filming Bielema at a press conference. This is the most noteworthy thing I have done in my life.
I also work for the Wisconsin State Journal as a prep sports reporter, but as I said earlier, I don't like reporting, so I will likely be ending that job soon.
I'm looking forward to this class so I can get a better understanding of how people use the internet differently, and why we have all allowed it to become such a necessary part of our lives.

Introduction

Hi everyone, I'm Danielle and I'm what they call a "super senior" on campus, double majoring in Bio and International Studies. I'm really excited for this course and have been since I saw it on the list of courses that could be taken to fulfill an Int'l Studies requirement! I will be finishing that degree this semester then finishing Bio next year.
I hope to learn a lot in this class about the growth of the internet and maybe about how other people use it in comparison to myself. Like most people, I spend a lot of time on the internet so getting to know more about it just seemed like a cool thing to do. Personally I spend most time on the internet on youtube where I upload videos. Like I said in discussion, the thing I hate most about the internet is trolls. Although I hate ads too...Anyway, I look forward to reading other introductions. :)

Intro to Molly Diedrich
Hi! My name is Molly Diedrich and I am a Communication Arts
major. So far CA346 is the top contender for my favorite class this semester. I
am excited about the investigation in which the class will bring to social
media. I am the New Media Director for PRSSA on campus and absolutely love
communicating to fellow members through such platforms as Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn and Google+.
Another interest that I hold includes watching hours and
hours of television. I am so grateful for Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon. Some
of which I watch on these sites include: Arrested
Development, Community, 30 Rock,
Parks and Recreation, and more! I
love NBC but I believe it is doing Community
an injustice by allowing Whitney to
stay on for the midseason. Six seasons and a movie.
Blog Post 1-Introduction
Hey CA346,
My name is Michelle Ruse, I'm a senior here at UW majoring in Communication Arts and will be graduating in May.
I'm very excited to be in this course and have heard many good things about it. Looking forward to a great semester!
